Good Bye Forever

My Childhood home has just been sold. I grew up in Green River, Wyoming. I lived there my whole life and never once moved until college. My parents just sold it so they can retire to Utah. I am happy for them , but at the same time I feel like I am losing my home. This is where I spent a lot of time doing homework, and cooking. My stocking hung here every year, and my Dad built the fireplace. This room was my favorite in high school. After hours of ballet it was lovely to sit and relax and read in the tub. This pond was the best... I fell in in once when I was little and I was pretending to be a professional ice-skater. I would also sneak out at night to just sit by it and listen to the water. I know rebel kid sneaking out to sit alone by my pond. I loved to host parties or dates in my back yard. My parents always took really good care of it and I was always proud of my home. It will be missed.

Internet, Funny Stories, and Vacations

Internet-
Well I have discovered that switching grades to Kindergarten does not leave a lot of time at school for other things. I only have Internet at school and I find myself always busy while here. So I am sorry about the few posts, i am working on it.
Funny Story-
We have been trying to teach Cairo to fold his arms for prayers and I will take any advice you can give me. this is what we have done so far. At 1st we were just making him fold his arms but this became a punishment for him and he would just scream every time. So Owen and I decided to make it a game. While Owen was in own every time Owen would fold his arm I would clap and say "Yay, Daddy" trying to make it a game instead of "I am in trouble". Owen would do this for me as well. I did not think we were making any progress. Then at church 2 weeks ago I folded my arm for sacerment and it was dead silent and all of a sudden I hear, "Yay, Mommy!" as loudly as possible with him smiling and clapping. I don't think he caught on.Vacation-
For fall break Cairo and I went to Las Vegas to visit my sister and to meet up with Owen. Vegas is about half way in between here and L.A. It is always nice t be around people I love. We hung out, went shopping, played at the park, etc. Cairo Loved the fountains!

Accapella 5.1

Internet only at work is hard because there I am usually busy and I have all my pictures and videos on my home computer. So the switch has been harder for me to adjust to. This last week Owen was here for a whole week. It was the best! He came up because it was Western Wyoming's 50 Birthday. This is the college where we met. They asked him to come back and sing in Accapella 5.1. Owen was an original member and founder of the group. So they got back together and sang in a concert. So we drove to Wyoming and it was like 29 degrees. Good memories with that... It was a lot of fun to see friends and meet some of the guys I had never known before.
Then on a side note Cairo is finally starting to talk. He has babbled before and said a few words but was mostly silent. He has picked up apple (when he wants to eat one), Draw (coloring), sp (Spring the babysitter), and Dipper (when he needs to be changed). He is suck a cute little man and I just love hanging out with him!

Internet Finally!

Well a lot has happened since July 9th. I made it to Utah safely! I am living with Dan and Spring Peterson (Owen's Brother and his Wife, +2 kids). I found a teaching job! I am teaching Kindergarten at Hidden Hollow Elementary. I have 59 students in my 2 sessions. Busy Busy! Here are some things we have done since getting here.

Peterson Girls Weekend
This years theme was Stargate... I was so much fun we shot paintball guns dressed up in costume, and a lot more

Lagoon
Instead of paying rent I took Dan and Spring's family to Lagoon. Cairo loved it! He went down slides at the water park. Wanted to go on all the rides even though he is little. But we all had a great time.

Peterson Golf Tournament
Every year the Peterson's compete in a golf tournament. I was on a team with Dan and Roake. We played a good game and Won I might add. Owen's parents we so sweet and flew Owen up to play golf and for me to be able to see him after a 1 1/2 months apart. So to make the weekend perfect he was here! After we played golf we went to Dan and Spring house for a little Birthday party for Kayden and a little Rock Band!
